ROOSENDAAL, Netherlands, Dec. 2, 2016–Anders Dahl and Selten HW posted a personal best score to win the Den Goubergh CDI3* Grand Prix Friday for their fifth straight victory since competing on Denmark’s team at the summer Olympic Games.

Anders and the Amercan-bred 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding scored 72.900 per cent that beat their previous Grand Prix best of 72.480 per cent set at Saumur, France in September.

The winning ride by Anders and Selten (Sandro Hit x Hohenstein) came just a few minutes after his wife Fiona Bigwood retired Orthilia in what was their first competition since the Rio de Janeiro Games where the duo was on Great Britain’s silver medal team.

Tommie Visser of the Netherlands on Variohippique’s Vingino was awarded 72.120 per cent for second place.

Gareth Hughes of Great Britain riding Don Carissimo for only their second international competition was third on 71.100 per cent, also a personal best. Gareth competed the 11-year-old Hanoverian gelding in their first CDI at Saumur in September.
