SYDNEY, Oct. 9, 2016–Elloise Devlin, a dressage young rider, has been awarded a 2017 Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship & Mentoring Program award, the first equestrian to be selected in the decade since the program was established
The 18-year-old -old from Lake MacDonald in Queensland was one of five young Australian selected to be mentored personally by a successful athlete and receive $5,000 and round trip international air fare over the next year.
Elloise will be mentored by Australian Olympic multi-medalist and former world record holder swimmer Kieran Perkins.
The scholarships will be presented during Sport Australia Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Gala Dinner in Melbourne next Thursday.
