DONAUESCHINGEN, Germany, Sept. 17, 2016–Beatrice Buchwald rode Daily Pleasure to victory in the CDI4* Grand Prix Saturday in the third competition for the pair.
The 27-year-old rider and Daily Pleasure, 15-year-old Westfalen gelding, scored 73.240 per cent for the win. Beatrice has become a star for her success competing Weihegold OLD to Big Tour that her boss, Isabell Werth, rode for German team gold and individual silver at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro last month.
Beatrice took over the ride on Daily Pleasure in March.
Sweden’s Michelle Hagman on Happiness placed second on 72.236 per cent, a personal best Grand Prix score for the pair.
Germany’s Fabienne Lütkemeier on Fabregaz was third on 73.020 per cent, also a personal best for the duo that made their Big Tour debut last March.
German Olympic team gold medal rider Dorothee Schneider clinched a start for Sammy Davis Jr. in the developing Grand Prix Louisdor Prize final in Frankfurt in three months.
Dorothee and the 10-year-old Sammy Davis, Jr. scored 76.209 per cent for the victory. Fabienne Lütkemeier on Flynn PCH was second on 72.279 per cent and Ulla Salzgeber on Sir Simon was third on 70.767 per cent.
