SYDNEY, Sept. 9, 2016–Judith Dierks on Diamond Star logged a personal best score to win the World Cup Grand Prix Friday, the second of seven events in the Asia/Pacific league to qualify for the Final in Omaha next March.
Judith and the 11-year-old Bavarian gelding scored 69.08 per cent for their first Big Tour victory this year and second since starting CDI Grand Prix in May, 2015.
Heath Ryan on Utopian Cardinal were second on 67.60 per cent and Robbie McKinnon on Robali Razzamataz third on 65.36 per cent.
The single space awarded to the Asia/Pacific League for the final of the annual world championship will be decided by a head-to-head competition in December, the only one of the four geographic divisions to do so. The other leagues are decided by points or score averages
