DEAUVILLE, France, July 23, 2016–Spain’s Morgan Barbançon Mestre and Girasol won the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday to log the first victory for the year old partnership.
Morgan and the 15-year-old German Sport Horse mare that she began competing a year ago after more than four years with Germany’s Nadine Capellmann scored 73.250 per cent for the win.
France’s Claire Gosselin on Karamel de Lauture was second on 72.475 per cent.
The USA’s Susan Dutta of Wellington, Florida on Currency DC placed third on 69.225 per cent.
Great Britain’s Laura Tomlinson on Rosalie B won the Grand Prix Friday on a score of 71.360 per cent with Morgan and Girasol second on 69.780 per cent and Claire and Karamel de Lauture third on 69.460 per cent.
