LIPICA, Slovenia, May 27, 2016–Russia’s Tatiana Miloserdova and Awakening won the Grand Prix Friday with a personal best score in the second 2016-17 Central European League World Cup event leading to the Final in Omaha, Nebraska next year.
Tatiana and the 11-year-old KWPN mare scored 69.380 per cent for the second win so far this year.
Marcela Krinke Susmelj of Switzerland on Smeyers Sopran was second on 68.820 per cent and Russia’s Elena Sidneva on Romeo-Star third on 68.280 per cent.
The Freestyle will be staged Sunday to decide points to count toward seeking to fill one of the two places allocated to Central Europe at the annual championship.
Germany’s Isabelle Steidle on Long Drink won the CDI3* Grand Prix on a score of 69.200 per cent.
Brazil’s Manuel Rodrigues Tavares de Almeida Neto on Vinheste was awarded a personal best Grand Prix score of 67.200 per cent. Manuel and the 14-year-old Lusitano that competed at Young Riders in 2012 and are campaigning for a place on Brazil’s team at the summer Olympics have earned the required minimum qualifying scores.
