ODENSE, Denmark, May 13, 2016–Severo Jurado Lopez rode Lorenzo that he is seeking a place on Spain’s team at the summer Olympics, to a personal best score to capture the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday.
Severo and the 10-year-old that he began competing at CDI Big Tour just three months ago scored 73.240 per cent, the only score above 70 per cent in the competition that was only the fourth show for the pair. Their previous best CDI Grand Prix result was 72.840 per cent set two months ago.
Ownership of Lorenzo was transferred to Severo, 27 years old and assistant trainer to Andreas Helgstrand in Denmark, so he could campaign for a place on Spain’s team at Rio de Janeiro in August.
Denmark’s Agnete Kirk Thinggaard on Cassio placed second on 69.820 per cent and Andreas Helgstrand on NOHS Daijoubo in third on 69.140 per cent.
