MÁRIAKÁLNOK, Hungary, April 30, 2016–Ulla Salzgeber rode Sir Simon to victory in the CDI3* Grand Prix Saturday in only the second Big Tour competition for the eight-year-old Westfalen gelding.
The German Olympic rider and Sir Simon (Samarant x Florestan I) scored 69.320 per cent for the win. The pair began CDI Grand Prix last month placing third in the Grand Prix and sixth in the Freestyle. Ulla competed Sir Simon at Small Tour throughout 2015.
Austria’s Nikolaus Erdmann on Vienna A placed second on 68.620 per cent with Vera Fürst of Germany and Coming on Strong third on 67.600 per cent.
