OLIVA, Spain, April 17, 2016–Beatriz Ferrer-Salat and Delgado posted a personal best score to capture the Oliva Nova CDI3* Grand Prix Special Sunday and complete the hat trick for the European Championship individual bronze medal Spanish rider.
Beatriz and the 15-year-old Westfalen scored 79.667 per cent for the win that eclipsed the pair’s previous best result in the Special of 77.395 per cent attained at the 2015 European Championships where the duo took the bronze in the Freestyle.
Beatriz and Delgado, the top ranked Spanish combination at No. 4 in the world, won the Grand Prix Friday and on Sir Radjah was first in the Freestyle on Saturday.
Great Britain’s Richard Davison on Bubblingh also posted a personal best Special result of 71.373 per cent to place second. Richard and the 10-year-old KWPN gelding had placed fourth in the Grand Prix on a score that was also a personal best.
Morgan Barbançon Mestre and Girasol added to the string of personal best scores with 71.098 per cent for third place in the Special. The Spanish team rider and the 15-year-old German Sport Horse she began competing last September logged a personal best in the Grand Prix on Friday.
