DORTMUND, Germany, Mar. 5, 2016–Kristina Bröring-Sprehe and Desperados FRH won the CDI5* Grand Prix Special Saturday notching the 12th mark above 80 per cent at Big Tour in the past year.

Kristina and Desperados, seeking to be on Germany’s team at the summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, were awarded 82.569 per cent a day after taking the Grand Prix with a score above 80 per cent. Beginning at this same show a year ago, the pair have started 14 times and won 11 of them.

Isabell Werth on Emilio were second with a personal best 78.647 per cent in the third Big Tour show for the horse that is one of six Grand Prix mounts in the lineup of the five-time Olympic gold medalist.

Dorothee Schneider, a team mate of Kristina’s at the 2012 Olympics, rode Showtime to third place on 76.314 per cent.

In addition to being on the team in London in 2012 Kristina and the 15-year-old Hanoverian stallion rode for Germany at the 2014 World Games and the 2013 and 2015 European Championships.
