Jule Brougham on Vom Feinsten Clinching Individual Olympic Spot for New Zealand With Hastings CDI3* Win

HASTINGS, New Zealand, Mar. 4, 2016–Julie Brougham on Vom Feinsten moved closer to clinching Olympic individual qualification for New Zealand in winning the Horse of the Year CDI3* Grand Prix Friday.

Julie and the 13-year-old Rhinelander gelding scored 70.447 per cent for the victory. John Thomson on JHT Antonella were second on 69.766 per cent with Wendi Williamson on Devavu MH third on 67.638 per cent.

The winning pair are atop the Olympic standings for the group that includes New Zealand and a huge swath of Asia with this show being the last in the region before the Mar. 6 qualification deadline.

New Zealand fills the top three places from which a single combination will be awarded an Olympic start. Ellesse Tzinberg of the Philippines on Pavarottie stands in fourth and is in Wellington, Florida seeking to qualify.
