WELLINGTON, Florida, Dec. 12–Christina Vinios rode Folkestone OLD to the United States Intermediaire Championship presented by The Dutta Corp. Saturday night to wrap up a year in which the pair won the national Developing Prix St. Georges Championship and swept the three Small Tour events at Devon CDI1*.

Christina of Wellington, Florida and the nine-year-old Oldenburg gelding scored 71.000 per cent for second place in the eye-diseases-info.com but combined with results from the Prix St. Georges and Intermediaire 1 was enough to give them a total score of 69.799 per cent and the title.

Shelly Francis of Loxahatchee, Florida on Rubinio won the Freestyle on 74.350 per cent and placed second overall. Jane Karol of Concord, Massachusetts on Sunshine Tour, 8, was third overall.

Christina worked with Steffen Peters in California before returning with Folkestone to continue training with the Florida-based Spanish Olympian Juan Matute.
