LAUSANNE, Switzerland, Dec. 3, 2015–German Olympic rider Dorothee Schneider rocketed up to 36th in the world rankings on Showtime from the 352nd position over the past month which saw little movement in the top 25 International Equestrian Federation (FEI) standings released Wednesday.
Dorothee, who rode for Germany at the 2012 Olympics, logged a pair of victories at Munich Indoor and high placings at the German Masters in Stuttgart in November on the nine-year-old Hanoverian gelding (Sandro Hit x Rotspon).
The pair began competing at international Grand Prix in June this year and their first appearance on the world individual rankings was at No. 482 that month. The pair’s eight starts at Grand Prix have included four victories.
Dorothee is ranked with five horses, including Ullrichequine’s St. Emilion that moved up to 28th as of the end of November from No. 46 the previous month.
Great Britain’s Charlotte Dujardin on Valegro remained at No. 1 for the 28th straight month with Kristina Bröring-Sprehe of Germany on Desperados FRH at No. 2 and Edward Gal of the Netherlands on Glock’s Undercover in the third slot.
Beatriz Ferrer-Salat of Spain moved up two places to No, 5 behind Isabell Werth of Germany on Don Johnson FRH.
