STUTTGART, Germany, Nov. 22, 2015–Isabell Werth and Emilio won the Stuttgart German Masters CDI4* Grand Prix Special Sunday for the fourth victory in four starts in the Big Tour career for the nine-year-old Westfalen gelding that began two months ago.
Isabell and Emilio (Ehrenpreis x Cacir AA) scored 77.824 per cent in the second Grand Prix Special for the pair. They won the Grand Prix Saturday and took both the Grand Prix and the Special in their debut Big Tour event two months ago.
Emilio is one of five Grand Prix mounts for Isabell, the winner of five Olympic gold medals.
Fellow German Charlott-Maria Schürmann on Burlington FRH, the 12-year-old Breitling stallion that she competed successfully at European Young Rider Championships three years ago as well as Under-25 events, placed second on a personal best score of 74.392 per cent.
Diederik von Silfhout of the Netherlands on Bonzanjo scored 72.706 per cent for third in the first year of Grand Prix for the nine-year-old KWPN gelding (Jazz x Contango).
Emilio along with Cosmo ridden by Sönke Rothenberger and Showtime ridden by Dorothee Schneider were awarded the Otto Lörke Prize in its 30th year in recognition of outstanding 10-year-old dressage horses as determined by the German Olympic Committee for Riding (DOKR) and the Liselott-Schindling Foundation.
