OLDENBURG, Germany, Nov. 13, 2015–Beatrice Buchwald rode Weihegold OLD to win the CDI4* Grand Prix in only the second senior Big Tour start for the German pair.
Beatrice, an assistant trainer to Isabell Werth, and the 10-year-old Oldenburg mare scored 74.720 per cent that compared with the 72.780 per cent posted in their first Grand Prix in September.
The pair won the prestigious Nürnberger Burg-Pokal, the German championship for Small Tour horses aged seven to nine years in 2013, a year after compatriot Charlott-Marie Schürmann won the title on Burlington FRH that placed second Friday on a score of 73.000 per cent.
Carola Koppelmann, also of Germany, placed third on Deveraux B on a score of 71.040 per cent.
