LAMPRECHTSHAUSEN, Austria, Sept. 5, 2015–Germany’s Jessica von Bredow-Werndl on Zaire won the CDI3* Grand Prix for the Freestyle Saturday with a personal best score while compatriot Stephan Koeberle on Darjeeling won the Grand Prix Special.
Jessica and the 11-year-old KWPN mare scored 72.120 per cent, eclipsing their previous best of 71.780 logged at Munich in May.
Austria’s Renate Voglsang on Fratello was second on 68.840 per cent and Germany’s Christina Boos on Lobenswert third on 66.960 per cent.
Stephan Koeberle on Darjeeling took the Grand Prix Special on 69.840 per cent, a day after capturing the Grand Prix. Fellow German Matthias Kempkes on Riccoletto was second on 68.961 per cent With Belgium’s Mario van Orshaegen on Wilco V third on 67.863 per cent.
America’s Jennifer Hoffmann rode Florentinus to the pair’s first ever CDI victory in winning the Prix St. Georges on a personal best result of 70.526 per cent.
The Germany-based Jennifer competed the Westfalen stallion in the World Young Horse Championships’ six-year-old division in 2012 and began their small tour career in July, 2014.
