AACHEN, Germany, Aug. 22, 2015–The World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses on Saturday announced a new partnership with Rolex, the Swiss watch maker and a long-time supporter of equestrian sports.
The new partnership was described as “long-term” and “highlights the understanding and respect that the WBFSH and Rolex have for the passion and hard work that goes on behind the scenes at large international events, and in particular the breeding industry.
“Rolex will become the ‘Official Timepiece’ to the Federation.
Launched in 1994, the WBFSH is the only organization which collates sport horses studbooks on a worldwide scale. It currently has 65 members representing more than 100,000 breeders.
Jan Pedersen, WBFSH president, said the partnership enables the federation to increase efforts to pursue our goals, one of which is development of sport horse breeding worldwide.
Since 1957, Rolex has been involved across dressage, jumping and eventing. As well as partnering with leading shows–Aachen, Germany; Wellington, Florida; Tryon, North Carolina and New York’s Central Park among them–and individual riders, Rolex is a patron of the Jumping Owners Club and International Jumping Riders Club.
