NEW YORK, Aug. 14, 2015–The final lineup of riders that includes five from the world’s top 11 rankings will compete in New York’s Central Park in the United States Open Dressage of a Grand Prix and a Freestyle Sept. 25-26.

The 2015 Rolex Central Park Horse Show being staged for the second year will feature world No. 1 Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro, Isabell Werth and El Santo NRW, Sweden’s six-time Olympian Tinne Vilhelmsson-Silfvén, championship team mate Patrik Kittel and the Florida-based Juan Matute, Jr. who rides for Spain and recently became European Junior Champion.

North America will be represented by Laura Graves and Verdades, ranked No. 9 in the world, along with Catherine Haddad-Staller and Charlotte Jorst from the United States and Canada’s Ashley Holzer and Karen Pavicic.

Steffen Peters told dressage-news.com he will miss the Central Park event this year as he is focusing on preparing Legolas and Rosamunde for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro next year.

Mark Bellissimo, CEO of International Equestrian Group, LLC that organizes the Rolex Central Park Horse Show, said that after the sold-out debut in 2014 he is expanding the reach and impact to more international talent this year.

“We work hard to make sure the show itself is as special as it can be,” he said, “but it is the riders who truly make it unforgettable. We are very proud to present the best in sport across so many disciplines in the heart of New York City.”

A highlight is the U.S. Open $75,000 Dressage Freestyle, presented by Axel Johnson Group, under lights on Saturday, Sept. 26.
