BALVE, Germany, June 13, 2015–Beatrice Buchwald qualified Lord Carnaby for the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal when she rode the eight-year-old Rhinelander stallion to victory Saturday in the Prix St. Georges Special at Balve, the fifth of 15 events leading to the final in Frankfurt in December.

The rider who turned 26 years old earlier this month and has competed Lord Carnaby for the past several years scored 75.024 per cent to notch the second qualifying win for the horse this year. Isabell Werth was successful on Lord Carnaby in this year’s first qualifer, at Hagen in April.

Isabell made clear at the time that Beatrice, who trains at the Olympian’s stable, would also seek to qualify Lord Carnaby in the prestigious Small Tour series for seven to nine-year-old horses.
