LAS VEGAS, April 13, 2015–Freed from quarantine “lockdown,” European riders brought out there horses Monday for the first real exercise since arriving two days earlier for the dual World Cup Finals of dressage and jumping.
Edward Gal on Glock’s Undercover and Hans Peter Minderhoud on Glock’s Flirt were among the first of the Europeans in the newly opened tent warmup arena joined shortly after by Laura Graves on Verdades that as an American horse was stabled separately from the quarantine facility.
Steffen Peters with Legolas that will compete in the World Cup Final and Rosamunde in an invitational event was one of the last arrivals from his San Diego, California base just five hours away and made his way to Thomas & Mack arena that was open for practise.
The veterinary checks for the 18 dressage horses is scheduled for 10:30 am local (1:30pm US Eastern/1930 CET) and 90 minutes later for the jumpers.
