RANCHO MURIETA, California, Apr. 4, 2015–Brian Hafner and Lombardo LHF won the Grand Prix Freestyle with a career high score Saturday, a day after claiming the Grand Prix also with a personal best result.
Brian and the 16-year-old Hanoverian gelding scored 73.350 per cent, the unanimous choice for first place by the five judges that also beat their previous high of 72.050 per cent set two weeks ago.
Heather Oleson of Eagle, Idaho on Victoria scored 70.425 per cent to place second as they did in the Grand Prix. Jessica Wisdom of Battle Ground, Washington on North Forks Cardi was third on 68.400 per cent.
Brian of Sonoma, California and Lombardo won these same two classes last year.
Brian competed Lombardo on United States Nations Cup teams in Rotterdam and Hickstead, England last year.
