“American Equestrian Got Talent” extravaganza to raise funds for United States high performance dressage will be staged Sunday night in the Global Dressage Festival pavilion at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center’s Stadium in Wellington, Florida.
The event is being streamed live on COTH.com and starts at 7 pm U.S. Eastern time (4 pm Pacific, midnight CET).
The finale caps an ambitious fund raising drive led by Robert Dover, the US. Technical Advisor/Chef d’Equpe.
Spectators have bought dozens of tables and are expected to crowd viewing areas to watch performances by 13 acts that have won qualifying compeititions through the winter equestrian season.
Spectators and viewers will vote for their favorite act by using their smartphone to text 41444, then type the name of the act that will provide a link to the contestant’s voting site.
Each vote costs $5. Anyone can vote as often as they like–at $5 per vote.
Voting opens at the beginning of the show.
Each of the 13 finalists get to perform for two minutes and are briefly critiqued by a panel of six celebrity judges.
The same format of votes counting for 50 per cent and unanimous decision by the judges will determine the winner.
The winner receives $5,000 courtesy of Robert Ross, second place $2,500 from Visse Wedell, third place $1,000 from On Course Consignment and fourth place $500 from Oded Shimoni.
