VIDAUBAN, France, Mar. 7, 2015–Germany won the inaugural 2015 Nations Cup, with strong performances in the Grand Prix Special Saturday to extend their overnight lead after the Grand Prix. France was second and the Netherlands third.
Thomas Wagner on Amoricello led the German squad with a score of 72.667 per cent that also put him in first place individually. In addition to Thomas, the squad included Victoria Michalke on Dance On OLD, Bernadette Brune on Spirit of the Age OLD and Sanneke Rothenberger on Wolke Sieben.
Germany finished the two-phase competition with a total of 420.556 of the best three scores from the Grand Prix and Special. The total for France was 413.977 and for the Netherlands total was 412.700.

The Vidauban Dressage Festival team competition was the first of seven Nations Cup events in the United States and Europe in the third year of the series.
The next Nations Cup is scheduled for the Adequan Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida where as many as nine teams from North and South America and Europe are expected to compete as well as several individual combinations preparing for the Pan American Games in Toronto in July.
Sanneke Rothenberger of Germany on Deveraux OLD won the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle with a score of 74.400 per cent with Estonia’s Grete Püvi on Talent second on 72.200 per cent and Sweden’s Marina Mattson on Beckham third on 72.125 per cent.
