BONEO, Australia, Jan. 23, 2015–Mary Hanna rode Umbro to victory in the World Cup Grand Prix Friday in the Pacific League Final that will determine the sole combination to be invited to Las Vegas in mid-April for the individual world championship.
Mary and the 14-year-old KWPN gelding scored 70.620 per cent for only the second CDI victory for the pair in more than four years at Grand Prix in Europe as well as Down Under. Their previous win was in Melbourne in November, 2010.
Sue Hearn on Remington placed second on 68.620 per cent while Maree Tomkinson on Diamantina were third on 68.360 per cent.
The Freestyle is scheduled for Saturday night.
