WELLINGTON, Florida, Jan. 9, 2015–Mariett, feeling better than ever despite being 17 years old, was ridden by Lars Petersen to victory in the 2015 opening World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle under lights Friday in the pair’s first show since their Danish team performance at the World Equestrian Games last August.

Sweden’s Caroline Darcourt, competing in a CDI in the United States for the first time, placed third on Pardon Magi with 72.700 per cent.
