LEXINGTON, Kentucky, Dec. 4, 2014–The United States Developing Dressage Program, focused on potential combinations for American teams, is expanding to the Under-25 division in 2015.
The U.S, Equestrian Federation announced Thursday that Debbie McDonald is returning as developing coach in the program that is being sponsord by Akiko Yamazaki and her Red Husky Foundation, long time financial supporters of high performance dressage.
Increasd exposure of American Under-25 combinations in European CDI events is a goal of the program that aims to identify and develop riders and horses with potential for future team and international success.
Applicants for the U-25 program will first take part in observation sessions. Selected combinations will move forward to training sessions, led by Debbie McDonald, and potential consideration for grants and European competition.
The program will also increase efforts to build the depth of upcoming talented combinations at the CDI Small Tour and USEF Developing Prix St. Georges and Grand Prix through observation and training session opportunities.

Applications for the U-25 program and Spring/Summer Observation and Training Sessions are due Jan. 1, 2015 (first deadline) or Jan. 30, 2015 (second and final deadline).
