OLDENBURG, Germany, Nov. 14, 2014–Kristina Sprehe and Desperados FRH posted their highest Grand Prix Special score in almost three years in winning the event at Oldenburg CDI4* Saturday.
The 28-year-old rider and the Hanoverian black stallion scored 81.098 per cent that was their best Grand Prix Special award since posting 81.978 per cent at Dortmund, Germany in March, 2012.
Isabell Werth on Weihegold OLD, the mare she is preparing for her assistant Beatrice Buchwald to compete in the Louisdor Prize, the German Developing Grand Prix Championships in Frankfurt next month, was second on 77.529 per cent.
Anabel Balkenhol on her 2012 Olympic mount, Dablino FRH, was third on 73.627 per centin their first CDI show in more than a year.
Kristina and the 13-year-old Desperados, Olympic, World Games and European Championships medalists for Germany, are ranked No. 7 in the world.
