MUNICH, Germany, Nov. 9, 2014–Portugal’s Gonçalo Carvalho in his debut show on Batuta made it two for two by winning the Munich Indoor CDI4* Grand Prix Special Sunday.
Gonçalo and the eight-year old Lusitano mare (Quixote x Icaro), scored 72.510 per cent for the victory and followed their Grand Prix win Friday.
Germans Hubertus Schmidt on Hedelund’s Mefisto placed second on 71.157 per cent and Ellen Schulten-Baumer on Grosso’s Gentle third on 69.471 per cent .
Gonçalo took over the ride on Batuta earlier this year from Spain’s Jose Antonio Garcia Mena with a change of ownership.
