SAUGERTIES, New York, Sept. 19, 2014–The Canadian Olympic duo of Jacqueline Brooks and D Niro logged the first victory in a year in winning the World Cup Grand Prix Friday.
Jacqueline and the 13-year-old Swedish Warmblood gelding scored 68.920 per cent for the victory over America’s Michael Barisone of Long Valley, New Jersey who placed second on Ellegria on 67.940 per cent and third on HF Victor on 67.520 per cent.
The last win for Jacquie and D Niro was the Grand Prix Freestyle at this same show a year ago.
The Grand Prix Freestyle that counts toward qualifying for the World Cup Final in Las Vegas in mid-April is scheduled for Saturday.
