AACHEN, Germany, July 17, 2014–The United States team for the World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France next month would be Steffen Peters on Legolas, Laura Graves on Verdades, Caroline Roffman on Her Highness O and Tina Konyot and Calecto V, according to an unofficial calculation by dressage-news.com.

Under the rules, the scores from the Grand Prix of combinations from the U.S. championships in Gladstone, New Jersey last month, the Fritzens, Austria CDI4* and this World Equestrian Festival CDIO5* count for team selection,

The rules do, however, provide for veterinary fitness and other factors but are not subjective.

Steffen of San Diego, California on Legolas and Laura Graves of Geneva, Florida were automatically qualified for the team based on their firsttwo placings at the Gladstone championships.

Tina Konyot of Palm City Florida and Calecto V, her mount at the World Games in 2010 and the Olympics in 2012, and Caroline Roffman of Wellington, Florida and Her Highness O earned their placings based on their results.

Adrienne Lyle of Ketchum, Idaho and Wizard, on the 2012 Olympic team, would be the eserve.
