José Daniel Martin Dockx celebrating his ride on Grandioso, the Pura Raza Español horse owned by Kimberly Boyer of Wellington, Florida. Dani rides for Spain and was given the ride after Courtney King Dye who had been competing Grandioso was seriously injured in a riding accident in Florida in March, 2010. The score of 74.640 per cent was the highest for an American horse but the result was Spain’s and the highest for their team which won the bronze medal behind Germany and the Netherlands. © 2014 Ken Braddick/dressage-news.com
Lars Petersen, long based in Florida and who has announced his intention to become an American citizen, rode Mariett for Denmark. Mariett is owned by American Marcia Pepper. Lars is looking for he and the 16-year-old Danish Warmblood mare to be selected for Denmark’s team for the World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France next month. Mikala Münter Gundersen, also based in Wellington, Florida, competed My Lady, a Danish Warmblood mare owned by Danish-born U.S. citizen Janne Rmbough of Palm Beach. Mikala, too, is hoping to be selected for Denmark’s WEG team. © 2014 Ken Braddick/dressge-news.com
David Marcus on Chrevi’s Capital that he competed for Canada’s Deborah Miculinic at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. David was born in Nebraska and became a Canadian citizen before the Olympics.
