AACHEN, Germany, July 10, 2014–The United States team for the World Equestrian Festival Nations Cup CDIO5* in Aachen, Germany next week features the American championship pair of Steffen Peters on Legolas, 2012 Olympic combinations of Tina Konyot on Calecto V and Adrienne Lyle on Wizard and the 26-year-old Laura Graves on Verdades on their first European circuit.
Another four combinations to compete in the companion CDI4* event were also named by the U.S. Equestrian Federation Thursday. They are:
–Jan Ebeling of Moorpark, California and Rafalca, 17-year-old Oldenburg mare;
–Shelly Francis of Loxahatchee, Florida and Doktor, 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding;
–Caroline Roffman of Wellington, Florida and a.) and Her Highness O, 11-year-old Hanoverian mare, and
–Lisa Wilcox of Loxahatchee and Denzello, 11-year-old Hanoverian mare.
Steffen will also compete Rosamunde, the seven-year-old Rhinelander mare that was 2014 U.S. Intermediate champion, in the small tour.
The American squad in the CDIO5* is one nine teams in the Nations Cup that will be decided by the Grand Prix to be held Thursday. The complete lineup:
