HARTPURY, England, July 9, 2014–Michael Eilberg continued the steady development of Woodlander Farouche that he rode to the five and six-year-old world championships when he rode the British-bred mare to victory in a national Prix St. Georges at the Hartpury Dressage Festival Wednesday.
The win with a score of 73.68 per cent for Michael and the Hanoverian mare (Furst Heinrich x Dimaggio) now eight years old was in one of two divisions of the St. Georges and came two months after their debut at small tour.
British Olympic gold medalist Charlotte du Jardin and Barolo won the other division of St. Georges with 74.30 per cent.
Michael also rode Woodlander Dornroeschen, the dam of Farouche, to 70.22 per cent for the win in the Intermediate II.
Record entries from 19 Nations were received for this year’s International Festival of Dressage.
