BRNO, Czech Republic, June 22, 2014–Elena Sidneva and Romeo-Star logged their best Grand Prix Freestye performance so far in winning the Panská Lícha World Cup event Sunday to put the pair on track to claim a start at the Final in Las Vegas next April.

Elena and the 13-year-old Hanoverian stallion scored 75.100 per cent to beat their previous best Freestyle result of 74.625 per cent in Italy two months ago.

Italy’s Leonardo Tiozzo and Randon placed second on 69.900 per cent and Estonia’s Dina Ellermann on Landy’s Akvarela was third on 69.600 per cent, for the same three top placings as in the Grand Prix Saturday.

Elena, who rode Romeo-Star at this year’s World Cup Final and in the European Championships in 2013, are at the top of the World Cup Central European League rankings after three of the seven scheduled competitions for the 2014/15 season.

The pair were third at Lipica, Slovakia a month ago and with Sunday’s victory now have 35 points to place them atop of the leaderboard and on track to take one of the two slots awarded to Central Europe for the Final in Las Vegas in mid-April, 2015.

Four more events are scheduled in the CEL through October.
