BRNO, Czech Republic, June 21, 2014–Russia’s Elena Sidneva rode Romeo-Star to victory in the Panská Lícha World Cup Grand Prix Saturday with a personal best score for the pair that have been competing at Big Tour for four years.
Elena and the 13-year-old Hanoverian stallion that she rode at this year’s World Cup Final and in the European Championships in 2013, scored 70.980 per cent.
Italy’s Leonardo Tiozzo and Randon placed second on 67.760 per cent, the best Grand Prix result so far since taking over the ride on the 17-year-old Polish-bred gelding less than a year ago from Poland’s Michael Rapcewicz.
Estonia’s Dina Ellermann on Landy’s Akvarela was third on 66.600 per cent.
Austria’s Heimo Kendlbacher on Ehrengold MJ won the Grand Prix Special with a score of 66.706 per cent, following their victory in the Grand Prix Friday.
Australia’s Alexandra Berns and Kings Legend were second, as they were in the Grand Prix, on 64.784 with Gabriela Jaworska-Mazur of Poland on Zimba third on 63.325 per cent.
