ROTTERDAM, Netherlands, June 21, 2014–Adelinde Cornelissen rode Jerich Parzival N.O.P. to victory and a Dutch sweep of the top four places in the CDIO5* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday night with the top three pairs achieving at least 80 per cent.

Adelinde and Parzival, competing in only their second show this year, scored 83.235 per cent with their gold medal Nations Cup team mates Edward Gal and Glock’s Undercover N.O.P. second on 81.975 per cent.

Holland’s 27-year-old star Danielle Heijkoop and Kingsley Siro, 15-year-old KWPN gelding, were third on 80.000 per cent.
with a score of 76.960 per cent in GP. Prev best FS 81.300 at Mechceln’s ast New Year’s shows.

Hans Peter Minderhoud and Glock’s Johnson TN produced a result of 79.050 per cent for ?? place and bettered their previous best Freestyle score of 78.350 per cent at Neumünster, Germany in February. The pair began competed the Big Tour together only last December.

Sweden’s Minna Telde and Santana were the best of the rest, scoring 78.300 per cent fifth place and a personal best that surpassed the previous highest of 77.700 in Amsterdam in January, 2013.

Mikala Münter Gundersen and My Lady, the Florida-based Danish pair seeking a place on her country’s World Equestrian Games team, filled the sixth slot with 73.675 per cent.

For Adelinde and the 17-year-old KWPN gelding (Jazz x Ulft), well into their eighth year at Big Tour, this was their sixth win in six straight starts–four of them this year–after a year in which Adelinde returned to training with her original coach and the big chestnut underwent an operation for heart arrhythmia.

The pair have dropped from the No.1 ranked combination in the world for much of 2011 and 2012 to their current ranking of 67.

Their highest Freestyle score in their career was 89.375 per cent at Lyon, France in November, 2012.

Brian Hafner, of Penngrove, California and Lombardo LHF, a 15 year old Hanoverian gelding, placed 12th on 70.425 per cent, only the third time above 70 per cent for the pair that started Grand Prix in April, 2013 after medal-winning performances together in the North American Young Rider Championships in 2009.
