COMPIÈGNE, France, May 31, 2014–Great Britain’s European Championship team partnership of Gareth Hughes and DV Stenkjers Nadonna won the CDI3* Grand Prix Saturday, the third CDI victory for the pair in three years at Big Tour.
Gareth and the 16-year-old Holsteiner mare scored 71.960 per cent for the win over Belgium’s Francoise Hologne-Joux and Wodan on 70.680 per cent and Australia’s Mary Hanna and Sancette on 69.920 per cent.
The result for the Australian Olympic team combination was a personal best at Grand Prix. The pair came to Europe as the entry for the Pacific League for the World Cup Final in Lyon and are seeking a place on her nation’s squad for the World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France in August.
