WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 26, 2014–Catherine Haddad-Staller celebrated her 50th birthday Wednesday with a surprise gift of an Anna Porcu cameo brooch from her husband, Gregory Staller, and dozens of wellwishers at a Champagne affair at the Global Dressage Festival grounds.
Catherine, in Wellington for her second winter season since returning from 20 years competing in Germany, is based in Califon, New Jersey where her husband has an equestrian veterinary practice.
Anna Porcu is a Tuscany designer specializing in setting 18th and 19th century cameos into modern materials such as the blue dyed leather bracelet.
