SYDNEY, Mar. 21, 2014–Australia’s World Equestrian Games teams will be outfitted by Ariat, the American apparel and footwear company in a major new sponsorship deal with Equestrian Australia, the federation announced Friday.
The 130 members of Australia’s WEG team will receive uniforms for both competition and casual wear.
Ariat, headquartered in Union City, California has outfitted United States equestrian teams for several years.
“Ariat is widely regarded as one of the leading manufacturers of equestrian apparel and this new partnership will be of great benefit to our elite riders,” said Grant Baldock, Equestrian Australia Chief Executive Officer.
“It’s important that our athletes look and feel their best when going into competition and thanks to Ariat we can offer our team a sophisticated look and quality uniform that will be distinctly Australian and in keeping with Ariat quality and comfort. A team uniform should evoke pride and unity and the uniform range being developed by Ariat is sure to inspire our athletes.”
Terry Donohue, director of Ariat operations in Australia, said: “Being a part of the Australian Equestrian Team is a great fit, we are proud to sponsor such a strong team and we look forward to our partnership with them.”
