BARCELONA, Spain, Mar. 19, 2014–The American-bred Selten HW was ridden by Anders Dahl to victory in the Prix St. Georges at the Barcelona Spring Tour CDI3* Wednesday.
The Danish rider based in England and the 10-year-old Selten scored 76.526 per cent with Great Britain’s Henriette Andersen on Favo second on 72.316 per cent and Rey Bastings of the Netherlands on Zecchino in third on 71.026 per cent.
The Hanoverian gelding was bred by Irene Hoeflich-Wiederhold of Cape Coral, Florida and trained and competed by Elizabeth Ball of Carlsbad, California.
The pair completed an historic triple crown of American young horse championships–four, five and six years old–before being sold in October, 2012.
Anders competed the horse at two CDIs in England last year.
