WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 16, 2014–“Prancing With the Stars” benefit organized by United States Chef d”Equipe Robert Dover raised about $280,000 to support the American dressage team campaign for the World Equstrian Games in Normandy, France in August.

Some of America’s top riders, owners, judges and supporters joined in the gala dinner and auction at the Global Dressage Festival to help make up a shortfall in funding of U.S. international dressage programs.

One of the highlights was an auction of for time with personalities in which Katherine Bateson-Chandler was auctioned twice for a total of $17,000.

A second fund raiser is being planned for the United States selection trials at Gladstone, New Jersey in mid-June.
