GOTHENBURG, Sweden, Feb. 28, 2014–Jessica von Bredow-Werndly and Unee BB underscored their claim to a place in the World Cup Final when the German pair won the Gothenburg Horse Show Grand Prix Friday.

Jessica, seeking to secure her first start at the World Cup Final in Lyon, France in mid-April, are currently in fourth place in the Western European League standings and scored 75.060 per cent in the Grand Prix that is the seventh of eight qualifying competitions.

Jessica and the 13-year-old KWPN stallion will start in the Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday for which points will count for the standings in the WEL which, in her case, means improving on existing results.

Patrik Kittel of Sweden on Toy Story, placed second on 74.740 per cent while Denmark’s Nanna Skodberg Merrald on Millibar posted 72.640 per cent for third plaxe.
