WELLINGTON, Florida, Feb. 19, 2014–Competition in the Florida International Youth Championships for pony, junior, young and Under-25 divisions gets underway Friday with prizes worth more than $30,000.
The championships were launched in 2013 as an effort by Equestrian Sport Productions, organizers of the Global Dressage Festival, and Dressage4Kids to attract more youth riders to the Wellington winter circuit and develop riders for the elite levels of the sport.
The championships are open to youth riders from all nations.
Prizes include $3,000 for each division and one stall per division for the 2015 winter circuit plus a bridle from sponsors Dressage4Kids, Hampton Green Farm and PanaCavallo.
