WELLINGTON, Florida, Feb. 4, 2014–The Adequan Global Dressage Festival has opened its Friday Night Stars Grand Prix Freestyle to bids at the live auction for Vinceremos, the therapeutic riding program that is holding its major annual fund raising event the same night.
Scouts for bids for 10 valuable packages will be stationed at the Freestyle as well as at the Vinceremos event at the International Polo Club.
Katherine Bellissimo, a principal of Wellington Equestrian Partners that owns the organization hosting both the Global Dressage Festival and the Winter Equestrian Festival, offered public announcements to promote the auction at the Freestyle and to station scouts to accept bids.
The idea came about because of a crowded calendar of events over the three months from January through March during which dressage freestyles are held Friday nights, featured jumping events on Saturday Night Lights and Sunday afternoon for the prime polo game each week at the same time as charities hold major fund raisers.
Arlene “Tuny” Page, active in both the dressage circuit and Vinceremos, arranged to base two scouts for bids at the freestyle.
The major items for the live auction are:
* Horse D’Oeuvres – Two tons of Purina feed and two tons of Larsen Farms hay;
* Sport Fishing – three nights accommodation for four people at Casa A-FIN-ITY and two days of fishing in the waters of Guatemala;
* Napa Valley, First Class – the Meadowood resort invites two couples for a two-night luxury experience of food and wine;
* Membership to International Polo Club includes waiving the $35,000 initiation fee;
* Sean Rush Commission – offering an opportunity to design and commission a work of art;
* World Equestrian Games – Includes tickets to the Opening Ceremonies and Dressage Championships for two, accommodations, sightseeing and more;
* World Equestrian Games – Includes tickets to Show Jumping World Championships for two, accommodations, sightseeing and more;
* French Open 2014 – Two Center Court seats for two days during opening week plus Roland Garros grounds passes for two additional days and a VIP guided tour of the NBC Sports Television Operations;
* David Yurman Cable Bracelet – 18-karat gold bracelet with a twist and Pavé diamond accents, and
* Platinum Class in Napa – Three days for four people in Dana Estate guest house, one of the most spectacular guest houses in Napa, tour and tasting at exclusive wineries and dinners.
