Patrik Kittel & Deja Victors in CDI Grand Prix Debut at Mechelen CDI3*

MECHELEN, Belgium, Dec. 26, 2013–Patrik Kittel rode Deja to victory at the Jumping Mechelen CDI3* Thursday in the Grand Prix debut for the nine-year-old mare the Swedish rider hopes will be his next Olympic mount.

Patrik and the nine-year-old Swedish Warmblood (Silvano x Don Schufro) scored 72.394 per cent for the win over the Netherlands’ Madeleine Witte-Vrees and Vitana V in second on 70.160 per cent and Dutch compatriot Patrick van der Meer and Zippo in third on 69.255 per cent.

Although Patrik has several Grand Prix horses, earlier this year he bought a small interest in the horse owned by a Swedish breeder Marie Harward and signed a contract for him to train and compete the horse through the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

His 2012 London Olympic mount Watermill Scandic H.B.C. is coming 15 years old.

Patrik was successful with Deja at small tour in the top German shows this year.
