FRANKFURT, Germany, Dec. 21, 2013–Isabell Werth and Bella Rose logged a personal best score for the Grand Prix Special when the pair won at the Frankfurter Festhalle CDI4* Saturday.
The veteran Olympian and the nine-year-old Westfalen mare (Belissimo M x Cacir AA) scored 78.458 per cent including 80.625 per cent from Swedish judge Gustav Svalling in the highest score so far in the pair’s three CDIs–their previous best was 77.938 per cent in July.
Fellow Germans Nadine Husenbeth and Florida placed second on 70.583 per cent and Thomas Wagner and Very Keen third on 70.042 per cent.
The victory was the fifth in six starts for Isabell and Bella Rose that she has been training since a youngster.
Their only loss at the Grand Prix level came Friday when Valentina Truppa and Fixdesign Eremo del Castegno won the Grand Prix.
The Italian Olympic duo scored 74.340 per cent while the German pair were second on 73.511 per cent and fellow German Dorothee Schneider and Forward Looking third on 71.319 per cent.
Valentina and Eremo del Castegno will compete in the Freestyle Sunday.
