TRUJILLO, Peru, Nov. 21, 2013–Ecuador was leading the eventing team competition after dressage Thursday at the Bolivarian Games while 15 of the 16 horses presented for dressage passed the veterinary check.

Ecuador on 151.7 was leading by six over Venezuela on 157.7 for second with Colombia in third on 163.2.

Venezuela’s Natascha Alessandra on Clifton Peekachu was the top ranked individual on 44.4, Ronald Efrain Savala Goetschel of Ecuador on Mr Wiseguy second on 46.9 and Anne Charlotte Brieke of Colombia on Picaron thrd on 48.1.

Cross country is held Friday.

Of the 16 dressage horses presented at Thursday’s veterinary inspection, 15 were passed for competition and one of the two entries from Bolivia was held for re-inspection Friday.

A preliminary dressage competition that does not count for team or individual standings is scheduled for Friday.

Colombia, Ecuador and Peru will compete for team medals Saturday while Venezuela, Guatemala and Bolivia are competing with individual entries to be decided Sunday.
