STUTTGART, Germany, Nov. 16–Isabell Werth rode Don Johnson FRH to a personal best result to capture the German Masters CDI4* Grand Prix Saturday.
Isabell and her European Championship team gold medal partner, a 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding (Don Frederico x Warkant), scored 77.745 per cent that eclipsed their previous best of 77.702 per cent posted in February this year.
Fellow German Olympian Ulla Salzgeber and Herzruf’s Erbe, competing at a CDI for the first time in 14 months and whose Grand Prix career has been interrupted by injury, placed second on 75.447 per cent. Austria’s Victoria Max-Theurer and Augustin OLD were third on 73.255 per cent.
The CDI4* Grand Prix was a qualifier for the Special. Isabell is also competing El Santo NRW in the World Cup qualifier.
