COMPIÈGNE, France, July 14–Johanne Pauline von Danwitz of Germany and Habitus 10 won the Junior Freestyle Sunday to capture all three gold medals at the European Championships–team, individual and freestyle.
Cathrine Dufour of Denmark on AtterupGaards Cassidy took the Young Rider Freestyle a day after winning individual gold but missed out on a team award.
The 17-year-old Johanne and Habitus scored 81.125 per cent for the Freestyle gold over fellow German Anna-Christina Abbelen on Fuerst on Tour with 79.375 per cent for silver and Norway’s Alexandra Gamlemshau Andresen and Belamour third on 78.400 per cent to take the bronze.
Cathrine Dufour on AtterupGaards Cassidy posted a winning score of 83.600 per cent for gold, with the Netherlands’ Stephanie Kooyman and Winston taking silver with 79.225 per cent and Germany’s Juiette Piotrowski the bronze on 76.425 per cent.
Johanne, the Junior triple gold medalist, took over the ride on the 16-year-old Hanoverian gelding (Hohenstein x Weltmeyer) last November. Their Freestyle victry was the sixth straight win and came after a gold medal score of 75.789 per cent in the individual test Saturday and leading her national team to the top of the podium.
Habitus won four team gold medals in a row for Germany when ridden by Louisa Lüttgens.
