WELLINGTON, Florida, April 3–Australia and a mixed Americas team officially entered the CDIO3* Nations Cup Wednesday to bring to 10 the number of squads at the Global Dressage Festival in a unique mixed format event to test efforts to upgrade competition at the Pan American Games in 2015.

The latest additions to the lineup were reported as preparations were being made for the final CDI in a winter-long calendar of 12 international events in Palm Beach.

The Wellington Nations Cup presented by Stillpoint Farm is in its second year as the only non-championshp CDIO in the Western Hemisphere and is being held at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center’s Stadium complex..

The latest teams to submit entries for the April 11-14 event were:

AUSTRALIA
Nicholas Fyffe – Tolstoy, 12-year-old KWPN gelding – Prix St. Georges
Kelly Layne – Von Primaire, 11-year-old KWPN gelding – PSG
Ilse Schwarz – Cadenza, 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding – Grand Prix
Sara Jancik USA – New Tango, 18-year-old KWPN gelding – PSG

AMERICAS
Mica Magrabana ARG – Wasmut, 15-year-old Hanoverian gelding – PSG
Sue Jaccoma USA – Wadamur, 13-year-old Hanoverian gelding – GP
Olivia Lagoy-Weltz USA – Rifallino, 15-year-old KWPN gelding – GP
Heidi Gaian USA – Chicago, 13-year-old Holsteiner gelding – PSG

Eight teams previously entered are two each from Canada and the United States, Colombia, Europe, Spain and Venezuela.

A Baccarat crystal horse head trophy will be presented by the International Equestrian Federation to the best foreign debutante rider with the highest percentage at either Grand Prix or Prix St. Georges.

Prize money for the event is $25,000 (€19,500) for the team competition and $10,000 (€7,800)for indviduals.

Equestrian Sport Productions and Wellington Equestrian Partners that manages and owns PBIEC are hosting an United States Equestrian Team Foundation benefit at the GDF grounds on Friday, April 12 coinciding with the Nations Cup.
